Introducing Jen & Anna

Born out of a chance conversation between two friends who realised they had the shared experience of suffering from eating disorders and were failed by the treatment system.

As a chronic bulimic, I was desperate for help. I was admitted to the GP to treat my anorexia who took one look at me and dismissed me with the words “You look fine”. I left the practice feeling let down, ashamed and hopeless. After that experience I vowed to help others in need making sure they never feel unheard.’ - Jen Elgumati

'When I finally plucked up the courage to see my GP about my issues she was very dismissive. I felt like she didn’t understand, and I was left on my own to deal with what wasn’t deemed a problem. Speaking to Jen, I felt our experiences were too similar to ignore. - Hence The Soho Practice was born' - Anna Lancaster Hedman

Jen and Anna set out to make sure an alternative was available, using personal experience, modern science, therapy and nutrition to deliver a unique path out of bulimia and binge eating - That actually works!

The Soho Practice Programme

The Soho Practice believes in ensuring both mind and body are nutritionally strong to support the therapeutic process. Based in Soho, The Soho Practice treat Bulimia, Binge Eating, specialising in eating disorders in pregnancy.

Their treatment shifts focus from numbers and sizes to strength and health, tailoring their treatment programmes for each client by looking at healing the root cause of the issue, and not just how to treat the resulting symptoms.
