Ground-breaking new Alzheimer’s detection blood test to roll out across 75 countries thanks to new partnership
News

Set to totally transform the way Alzheimer’s Disease is diagnosed – which has traditionally been a long, invasive and expensive process (Alzheimer’s is believed to be the world’s most expensive disease) -  the new blood tests, aimed for patients aged 55 and above, are able to detect some of the pathological hallmarks of Alzheimer's disease. As a result, healthcare practitioners can rule out the possibility of Alzheimer’s disease much earlier in the diagnostic journey – and where hallmarks are present, they can expedite the patient pathway, diagnose the condition quicker, and ensure patients start receiving the appropriate treatment as earlier as possible.

With 1 in 5 women and 1 in 10 men expected to develop Alzheimer’s, the partnership between Unilabs and C2N marks a major milestone in brain health diagnostics, and will see a multi-year partnership agreement that will increase access to C2N’s Precivity portfolio of blood tests in Europe, Peru, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates exclusively – as well as many more countries.
